The MBIS school week runs Sunday to Thursday from 8.00am to 2.30pm. After School Activities (Y1-Y11) run from 2:45 to 3:45pm.

At MBIS we offer a variety of After School Activities (ASAs) aiming to encourage and develop individual interests, hobbies and talents, alongside important qualities such as independence, organisation, perseverance, teamwork and leadership. ASAs are offered to all children from Year 1 upwards and vary from term-to-term to provide a broad base of learning experiences.

For children in our Foundation Class through to Year 2, packed lunches and snacks are brought to school from home in protective packaging/boxes, or parents could order online for their children through the school caterers, meals will be delivered to children in their classes. Healthy foods and drinks are actively encouraged. Confectionery is not allowed. Children have a snack during the morning, They sit together for 20 minutes, while they eat their lunch. The school has an impressive outdoor cafeteria that serves a wide range of healthy foods and drinks. Children in Year 3 to Year 9 may use the cafeteria at lunch times, or alternatively bring in a packed lunch and snack.

The school provides bus transportation through a local company. The service is offered to the Maadi, Zamalek, New Cairo, 6th October and Heliopolis areas. More details are available at the School Office or by emailing the Head of Administration Office, Mrs. Nermine Hassanein at nermine@mbisegypt.com.

MBIS offers the option of Arabic, French or Spanish to students as a second language. Arabic on a native level is also available as an elective after-school activity either once or twice per week.

All Primary and Secondary Students participate in PE lessons twice a week. PE teaching aims to promote health, enjoyment, skills and achievement through a number of activities including games, gymnastic and athletic activities, dance and swimming.

As MBIS serves the expatriate community, it accepts students any time throughout the academic year, subject to availability of space.

MBIS is proud to be an all-inclusive school. It offers both EAL and SEN support to the children in its care. However, we must ensure that the needs of every child at school could be met and accommodated within the school resources. This is confirmed after the entrance assessment and submission of all the necessary specialist reports.
