" Sixth Form students enjoy an extremely positive experience in a safe and creative environment here at the MBIS. It is our aim to present a curriculum that is academic, reflecting the strength of our students, and able to result in the development of fully-rounded young adults." - Head of SecondaryÂ
Nick Rudd

MBIS Sixth Form is a natural continuation of the values and care our families already trust. Small class sizes, personalised mentoring and a strong sense of community ensure every student is known, supported and challenged at a critical stage of their education.

We specialise in IGCSEs and A-Levels, delivered through Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge, two of the world’s most respected exam boards. Our programme combines academic rigour with structured preparation, ensuring students develop subject mastery alongside independence and resilience.

Our Sixth Form offers a calm, focused environment with a global outlook and strong local relevance. Students benefit from leadership opportunities, real-world exposure and close partnerships with parents and professionals from our wider community.

Focused. Personal. Globally recognised.

A-Levels at MBIS: depth with purpose
Students choose 3 or 4 A-Levels, allowing them to specialise deeply in subjects aligned with their strengths and future ambitions.
This depth is a key advantage of the A-Level pathway. In international comparative studies, 94% of A-Level students reported strong in-depth subject expertise, compared to 56% in broader diploma programmes. Universities value this subject mastery. particularly for competitive degree courses.

Available subjects include:
Mathematics • Biology • Chemistry • Physics • ICT • English Literature • History • Geography • Business • Media Studies • Arabic • French • Spanish • Art • Physical Education
The MBIS Sixth Form Diploma, alongside A-Levels
Alongside A-Levels, all students complete the MBIS Sixth Form Diploma—a structured, credit-based program that formally recognizes learning and development beyond examinations.
The diploma consists of 120 guided hours, completed across five integrated strands:
University & Careers Preparation (25 hours) – Leadership & Personal Growth (95 hours). Service & Citizenship (20 hours) – Work Experience (30 hours) • Enrichment & Skills (20 hours)

Progress towards the diploma is tracked throughout Sixth Form with ongoing mentoring.
Successful completion is formally recognized at the end of Sixth Form, giving universities a clear, structured picture of each student’s development beyond academic grades.
Wider Curriculum & Wellbeing
Alongside A-Levels and the Sixth Form Diploma, students follow a wider curriculum that develops the habits, resilience, and maturity required for success at university and beyond.
This pillar focuses on: – Leadership development and responsibility – Study skills and academic resilience Health, wellbeing and PSHE – Core Physical Education

These elements run in parallel with academic study and the Diploma, ensuring students graduate not only with strong results, but with confidence, balance and independence.
Extended learning: EPQ
Students may choose to undertake the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), developing independent research, academic writing, and critical thinking skills. The EPQ is highly regarded by leading universities and strengthens applications, particularly for competitive courses.
