These accreditations validate MBIS as a high-performing, globally respected school.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) is a body approved for the purpose of inspection under Section 162A of the Education Act 2002. The ISI reports to the Department for Education (DfE) on the extent to which schools meet statutory requirements. MBIS underwent a full ISI inspection in June 2016 and was awarded 'excellent' in all areas of teaching and learning, school leadership and management and in health and safety.
The Department for Education
MBIS is officially recognised by the Department for Education (DfE), bearing a unique reference number on Edubase – the national school reference system. In order to be recognised by the DfE, an overseas British School must have an inspection report showing that its performance against all standards is at least satisfactory. MBIS has been awarded ‘excellent’ in all areas.
BSME (British Schools in the Middle East)
MBIS is a fully accredited member of BSME, as we are BSO inspected school and registered with the DfE (Department for Education) in the United Kingdom. BSME supports a network of high quality British international schools in the region. In addition, they facilitate an invaluable partnership between member schools and business partners that support the development of MBIS.
